Esquimalt Adventure Park splash pad opening this weekend

The Esquimalt Adventure Park’s splash pad will see a bit of an early opening thanks to a wet spring.

The City of Esquimalt says the splash pad’s official opening is still scheduled for May 19, 2023, however it will be open for Buccaneer Days from May 12-14.

Due to the wet spring, we were able to save water usually needed for irrigation. This means we can use that water to open the Esquimalt Adventure Park's splash pad for Buccaneer Days!

“Due to the wet spring, we were able to save water usually needed for irrigation,” the city said. “This means we can use that water to open the Esquimalt Adventure Park's splash pad for Buccaneer Days!”

You can find the splash pad at 527 Fraser Street, beside the Esquimalt Recreation Centre. Hours of operation are 10 am to 7 pm, all week long.

The splash pad stays open until September, and has picnic tables with umbrellas, park benches and a small lawn area for people to use for picnicking.
