Detectives with VicPD’s Special Victims Unit are seeking additional information, including additional survivors, after a Victoria masseur was charged with sexual assault.

Jacob, who goes by the name Sam, was employed as a masseur at that location at the time of the incident.

SVU detectives are currently investigating several additional allegations of sexualized violence involving the man, and believe there may be additional survivors who have yet to speak with police.

The investigation into Jacob in late March of 2021 after a survivor came forward with allegations of sexual assault. On May 13, Jacob was arrested for sexual assault as a result of that investigation. He has since been charged with one count of sexual assault, and has been released on several conditions including not to perform massage services on any person.

Since that time, additional survivors have come forward to report that they were sexually assaulted by him.

“Special Victims Unit investigators want survivors of sexualized violence to know that we believe you,” said the VicPD. “There are many ways to report sexualized violence in addition to calling our non-emergency line. You can report sexualized violence through your family doctor, a counsellor or the Victoria Sexual Assault Centre. The Victoria Sexual Assault Centre also supports survivors directly and can assist you if you choose to report a sexual assault to police.”

If you have information about Ajesh Jacob and have not yet spoken to officers you are asked to call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1. To report what you know anonymously, please call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
