There’s been a lot of doom and gloom surrounding B.C.’s wildfire situation, so how about a story that will make you smile?
An Initial Attack Crew from the BC Wildfire Service was on their way back from working on a fire in the Monashee Complex when they noticed something out of the ordinary.
A group of puppies was wandering on the side of the road, seemingly lost with nowhere to go.
The crew contacted local authorities, who helped them determine that there were no houses or properties nearby that the dogs could have wandered from.
With that, they decided that they couldn’t leave the stranded pups along at the side of the road, so they piled them into their vehicles and took them back with them.
According to BC Wildfire, the dogs are “now being well fed and cared for, and the SPCA has been contacted.”
Not only are these firefighters doing grueling work every day to keep our province safe, but they’re also rescuing puppies now too!
Not bad for a day’s work...
