It didn’t take long for Nolan Foote to sign on the dotted line after being drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday.
The 18-year-old Kelowna Rockets forward signed his first professional contract today, a standard three-year entry-level contract.

He joins his brother as an official member of the Lightning organization after Cal was drafted in the first round, 14th overall, by Tampa Bay in 2017.
The older Foote has a bit of bragging rights in that regard, as Nolan wasn’t selected until pick number 27 this year.
Last year, Nolan posted 36 goals and 63 points in 66 games for the Rockets, earning team MVP honours.
There’s no doubt that he’ll be back with the club and is expected to play a big role in Kelowna’s Memorial Cup hosting season.
