The Kamloops Blazer were in action on Family Day, this time taking on the Tri-City Americans at the Sandman Centre.
Kamloops played host to a sold-out crowd and rose to the occasion. The Blazers would go on to win by a score of 3-1.
In the first period, it was the Connor Zary show as he netted home his 17th and 18th goals of the year. Kamloops would take a 2-0 lead into the second.
Dylan Ferguson would make sure they kept that lead going into the third as he stopped all 16 shots he faced in the frame.
In the third, Tri-City would pull within one but a Brodi Stuart empty-net goal would effectively end all hopes of a comeback.
Kamloops was outshot 38 to 29 which is why Dylan Ferguson was named the game's first star. The two teams combined to go 0/5 on the power play.
Up next Kamloops takes on the Prince George Cougars at the Sandman Centre on Friday, puck drop is at 7:00 p.m.
