Corey Conners has claimed his first career PGA tour victory at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, TX, on Sunday
Conners claimed the victory and celebrated with a big hug for his caddie and his wife immediately after.

The Ontario-native is the first player since 2010 to progress from the Monday qualifier to win the tour.
Conners’ final putt had the Canadian finish the tournament with a score of -20 – two under second-place Charley Hoffman – and the only person on the course more excited than Conners was his wife who was visibly amped on his performance.

The victory gives the 27-year-old a spot in the Master invitational tournament in Augusta, GA, which will begin on Thursday.

Additionally, he has earned 500 FedExCup points, and a full exemption through the 2020 and 2021 season.
