The Canadians are once again golden at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship after defeating the US 3-0 Sunday morning.
Neither team found the back of the net in the first period and the game remained scoreless for almost 30 minutes.
The Canadians then got a power play in the second frame and Caileigh Tiller fired a one-timer through Morgan Stickney’s five-hole to open the scoring.

Canada held on to its lead into the third period and got some insurance after Dorothy Copetti’s shot bounced off an American’s skate and into the net.
With the game nearing its end, Strycker Zablocki buried the puck in an empty American goal to seal the win for Canada and knock off the defending champions.
