The Prince George Cougars were back in action Wednesday night, this time taking on the conference-leading Everett Silvertips.
Prince George battle for 40 minutes with a prestigious opponent but in the end, the Silvertips would win by a score of 4-1.
In the first period, Prince George got out to the early lead thanks to Ethan Browne's ninth goal of the year. The Cougars would keep that lead after one.
Zack Andrusiak would tie the game in the second with his 36th goal of the season. The two teams were deadlocked at one heading into the final frame.
In the third, Prince George couldn't handle the pressure and gave up three goals to Bryce Kindopp and Reece Vitelli. Kindopp was responsible for one will Vitelli scored two.
With the loss, Prince George remains winless in their last 17 games. Taylor Gauthier made 33 saves on 36 shots he faced in the game.
Up next the Cougars travel to Kamloops where they hope to beat the streak at the Sandman Centre, puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. this Friday.
