This was the second time the two lightweight fighters have been in the octagon together. McGregor won their first match in just 120 seconds in 2014.
Other results from the main fight card included Michael Chandler defeating Dan Hooker by TKO in the first-round, Joanne Calderwood knocking off Jessica Eye via a unanimous decision, Makhmud Muradov taking out Andrew Sanchez with a third-round TKO and Marina Rodriguez defeating Amanda Ribas by a second-round knockout.
As of now, McGregor and Poirier's next fights have not been decided, though the possibility of a rematch has been speculated.
