With his new Masters Championship title the prolific golfer tallied the 15th major win of his professional career, only 3 behind all-time major victory record holder Jack Nicklaus, with 18.
One more green jacket would tie him with Nicklaus, current record holder for the most Masters Championship wins.

Woods finished the tournament with a score of 13 under par, and putt his final hole to the thunderous chants of “Tiger, Tiger, Tiger,” from the crowd.
He finished only 1 stroke less than second place-tied golfers Xander Schauffele, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka.

Woods’ victory in Augusta is his first major win in 11 years and was preceded by his first professional win in over five years at the PGA Tour Championship in September last year.
The victory comes as a surprise to golf fans who considered Woods’ numerous back surgeries in previous years as a detriment to his career, his fourth of which took place two years ago in April 2017.
