Health Canada has issued a recall for a popular outdoor security camera because of burn and fire hazards.
The recall affects the Wyze Solar Cam Pan with model number WYZESCPWH, which is located on the back of the camera.
The product is a battery-powered, solar-assisted wireless outdoor security camera with motorized pan and tilt functions, an integrated lithium-ion battery and an integrated solar panel for recharging.
Health Canada says incorrect assembly instructions can lead consumers to puncture the metal casing of the lithium-ion battery.

That can cause the battery to rapidly overheat, creating fire and burn hazards.
As of May 5, 2026, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
In the United States, Wyze had received 12 incident reports and five reports of burn injuries.
Health Canada says 2,562 affected units were sold in Canada, while 321,360 were sold in the United States.
The recalled cameras were sold from October 2025 to April 2026.
Consumers are being told to immediately stop using the recalled Wyze Solar Cam Pan and visit the Wyze Labs website for the company’s refund process.
For more information, consumers can contact Wyze toll-free at 1-888-832-7226 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT, Monday to Friday, or email [email protected].
The recall is being conducted jointly by Health Canada, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Wyze Labs, Inc.
Health Canada says recalled products cannot be redistributed, sold or given away in Canada.
