After 29 years, highly decorated Canadian skate Kurt Browning has announced his retirement from the Stars on Ice tour.
That means the 2023 tour will be his final year as part of the cast.
Browning has been the most consistent performer on the Canadian tour, where he has been one of the headliners in nearly every show since its debut in 1991.
“Stars on Ice has been my skating home for my entire professional career. I am deeply grateful for the creative possibilities I’ve enjoyed,” said Browning. “In this upcoming 2023 spring tour, I look forward to showing the audiences my appreciation for the ongoing support I have felt over the course of my career with Stars on Ice.”
Browning is a four-time World Champion and four-time Canadian Champion, with nearly 1,000 shows in the US and Canada under his belt.
The show is scheduled to visit Victoria on May 16 for a 7 pm performance at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (SOFMC). Tickets are available through Select Your Tickets or the Stars on Ice website.
