A 57-year-old BC man is wanted on an arrest warrant after charges were laid in connection with an unprovoked assault on a taxi driver.
Maple Ridge RCMP say the assault happened on Sept. 17, 2025.
Police had previously asked for the public’s help identifying a suspect in the case.
RCMP say Link Gaetz has now been charged with assault and mischief under $5,000.
Police say Gaetz remains wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant and are asking for the public’s help locating him.
He is described as a white man, six-foot-four and 252 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.
In a previous bulletin, police said: "This was unprovoked assault on an innocent victim that also involved property damage and occurred in the middle of the day where it was witnessed by multiple people in our community."
