Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre to temporarily shut down fitness facilities following new provincial health orders

The City of Victoria announced the temporary cancellation of all fitness activities at the Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre following the BC government’s latest COVID-19 restrictions enacted earlier in the week.

However, the pool will remain open to the public, and children will still be able to attend day camps scheduled over the holidays.

The newest restrictions brought in on Monday temporarily closed all gyms and fitness clubs across the province, but the order did not include the shut down of community pools, allowing Crystal Pool to stay operational for the time being.

The order will only affect the fitness centre at the facility, as well as any classes scheduled while the order is in place.

The fitness centre is scheduled to reopen after the restrictions expire on Jan. 18, 2022.
